Contributing Factors to Chronic Conditions in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia

The leading causes of preventable death and disability are heart disease, stroke, cancer, diabetes, obesity, and arthritis. Chronic conditions are increasing overall healthcare costs as a result of a longer duration of disease, longer duration of medications and more medications associated with chronic conditions and related comorbidities.
Meet the Team
My name is Logan McFall and I am a Senior Health Science student with a Preprofessional Health Studies concentration at Clemson University.
My interest in GIS and mapping began with my enjoyment of overland and backcountry travel and the subsequent route planning. I like GIS as a way to symbolize data in a way everyone can understand.
My name is Danielle Matthews and I am currently a Senior Health Science major with a concentration in Health Education and Promotion at Clemson University.

I am currently working at the Greenville County Clemson Extension Office on a pilot study for Health Extension through a partnership with Clemson University and the Greenville Health System.
