Community Involvement

Volunteer with Providence Care

Over the past two years, I have been volunteering with Providence Care at Clemson Downs in Clemson, South Carolina. Providence Care works primarily with elderly populations and their family.  My role as a volunteer was to be a part of the care team. I make monthly visits with each client to help assess their health status and note any additional or unmet needs they may have.

Member of ESG

Since my sophomore year at Clemson University I have been a participating member of Eta Sigma Gamma (ESG). Each year in April, we work to produce National Public Health Week (NPHW) on campus. This includes coordinating and scheduling events for each week. The most recent NPHW event I was on the "Activity" subcommittee. I was able to help coordinate a campus-wide "Bike/Walk to School" day. The goal was to encourage others to be physically active and increase social support for increased physical activity.

Member of AED

Since my junior year at Clemson University, I have been a participating member of Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED). Each year AED helps with a Relay for Life Campaign. During the most recent campaign, I helped to recruit blood donors during the blood drive and helped work the AED table at the 24-hour fundraiser at the end of the week.
